Access Statement for The Sunningdale



We are a family run, eleven bedroom Guest House having six first floor bedrooms and five second floor bedrooms. Unfortunately we are unable to offer ground floor accommodation.


Our access statement is available for guests to see either on our web site or within the premises.Buses, taxis and trains are available from Skegness to many surrounding areas.


Access to the town centre by public transport is about a 2-3 minute journey or a 10-15 minute walk.

There are many mobility shops available for the hiring of aids if required.

Arrival and Car Parking Facilities

We have limited parking at the Guest House location but are unable to offer a car space reservation service, if a vehicle is not able to park within the Guest House designated spaces then you can park on the adjacent residential street where there are no parking restrictions.

Help with carrying luggage on arrival can be requested.

The route from the car park to the entrance is about 15 yards and of a flat surface with one entrance step into the porch and a further step into the Guest House.

Main Entrance, Reception and Public Areas The main entrance consists of one step of a single door width into an enclosed porch leading to one further step into the main entrance.

When accessing the porch a door bell needs to be rung to gain attention where you will be welcomed inside.

Your room keys will be explained along with breakfast information and any other relevant information required. From the entrance area, the reception, guest lounges and dining room are accessible on level with plenty of seating available.

From the lower ground level one flight of stairs (eleven steps 8 inches high) leads to the first floor consisting of six bedrooms. A second flight of stairs leads to a further five bedrooms.

A lift is not available in the premises.

Each room has its own allocated table for breakfast with moveable furniture for easy access. Waitress service is operable

Bedrooms/En suite All of our bedrooms are equipped with standard fittings and entrances are obtainable by single standard width doors. Each of our rooms have En suite facilities consisting of either bath or showers of standard requirements.
